AP Top 25: Tennessee drops four spots to No. 9 after blowout loss to South Carolina

Tennessee dropped four spots from No. 5 to No. 9 at South Carolina on Saturday.

The nine touchdowns South Carolina put on the Volunteers made for the most points scored by an unranked team over a top-five opponent in college football history. Yet the Gamecocks surprisingly didn’t make it into the top 25 after the win. They’re No. 2 among teams outside the top 25.

LSU is at No. 6 ahead of Clemson, Alabama, the Vols and Oregon. The to get just one win away from a Pac-12 title game matchup with USC.

Utah dropped four spots to No. 14 after the loss and are a spot behind Notre Dame. The Irish moved up five spots after blowing out Boston College at home and travel to USC in one of the marquee games of Week 13.
